ColorBurst Systems Hires Sal Passanisi as Director of Sales and Marketing

ASHBURN, Virginia—January 30, 2012—ColorBurst Systems (CSE, Inc.) has hired print industry veteran Sal Passanisi as Director of Sales and Marketing. Passanisi will start the marketing effort of the new CleanDot line of eco-friendly press chemistry and CTP plates, in support of the ColorBurst Digital Inkjet CTP system. In addition, Passanisi will be responsible for the dealer and OEM channel for the new release of ColorBurst Overdrive, a 64-bit Mac-based RIP server that dramatically improves the print quality of any inkjet printer’s driver.

Passanisi brings with him close to thirty-five years of technical and sales experience. He founded American Digital Imaging, a DI-CTP printing company that imaged thousands of plates. His company was recognized nationally by Presstek, PIANKO and others, receiving quality and innovation awards in the area of DI waterless offset printing. Passanisi also brings VAR and systems sales success working with companies such as Scitex, HP, Xerox, Apple, Epson and Sony during his time at Mac Pre-Press, Inc., a systems integrator and dealer. Passanisi has held V.P. positions at Val Pak as well as Director level positions at Donnelley, Reach Publishing Systems and recently the Digital Technology Group.
